Missions

Within a team of 6 people, the FP&A Data Analyst, due to their expertise, is the point of reference for improving the work tools of the FP&A team. As such, he/she

  • is trained and supported by the IT department teams in using Anaplan models and existing Power BI reports.

  • integrates an internal company community bringing together all data referents from different departments in order to facilitate its understanding of the organization of data and thus improve the depth, relevance and quality of the work of the FP&A team.

More generally, its missions revolve around 3 axes:

1) Financial modeling and projection of the group's strategy

  • The FP&A data analyst prepares forecast documents (Business Plan, Budget, Reforecast and ad-hoc forecasts) by collecting, controlling and integrating hypotheses from Operational and Management in order to carry out financial projections.
  • The FP&A data analyst will be required to work on several scenarios in order to produce sensitivity analyses that will focus on hypotheses for the acquisition or sale of assets, occupancy rates, rent indexation, or depending on financing choices and the evolution of EURIBOR in order to best predict future results.
  • The budget process is structured in a modern EPM tool, Anaplan, for greater efficiency and quality in analyses.

2) Reporting to Management and Shareholders

  • The FP&A data analyst analyzes the group's performance in light of the forecasts initially presented to shareholders. Each quarter the results are presented to them.
  • To do this, he/she prepares the consolidated accounts under IFRS using the BFC software (In coordination with a specialized firm)
  • Financial reporting is developed for management and internal and external stakeholders (investors, partners, banks, etc.). He/she focuses on explaining performance based on financial and operational data

3) Ad hoc projects & analyses

  • The FP&A data analyst participates and/or leads various projects in order to improve financial information, optimize production or set up team tools
  • Ad hoc studies are carried out to check the smooth running of operations and key company processes.
  • Active participation in the continuous improvement of tools and processes for the production of predictive information and reports
